The Leon Valley Mega Center is the San Antonio area's only Mega Center, the region's highest-capacity driver license office, handling 600 to 700 people a day. Despite the name, it isn't inside San Antonio proper. The address is 7410 Huebner Road, in the small city of Leon Valley, an enclave on San Antonio's northwest side, just outside the city limits in Bexar County. It sits in the Huebner Road corridor with its own on-site parking lot. There's no confirmed transit stop at the door, so plan to drive.

Leon Valley reopened in spring 2026 after a water-pipe failure had closed it for repairs, so if you booked well in advance it is worth a quick status check before you drive over. Beyond that, the availability panel on this page shows how far out open dates are running today, straight from the state's daily report. This is a driver license office only. New licenses and IDs, renewals and replacements, REAL ID, the written and road tests, CDL, and disabled parking permits, all by appointment, including the driving test. It does not handle vehicle registration or title transfers; for those, you'll go to the Bexar County tax office, not DPS. You generally must come in for a first-time Texas license, a REAL ID upgrade, or when your identity documents need to be verified in person.
