The Spring Mega Center is the driver license office for north Houston's suburbs: Spring, Klein, and the Woodlands side of the metro. It sits in Suite 100 of the Spring Cypress Shopping Center, at the lighted corner of Spring Cypress Rd and Kuykendahl Rd, in a converted former Albertson's. That throws people off the first time: this isn't a government campus, it's a retail strip, and an Altitude Trampoline Park shares the same building. Look for the shopping center and the trampoline park and you've found it. Parking is the easy part. It's an old supermarket lot, shared with the other tenants, so there's plenty of room. There's no transit stop at the door, so plan to drive.
Here's the honest part before you book: the appointment date is the slow piece. North Houston's Mega Centers stay busy, and open dates here fill well ahead, in line with the rest of the Houston metro — the availability panel on this page shows how far out they're running today. The wait people actually worry about, standing in line inside, is usually short if you come prepared. Visitors frequently report being in and out in about twenty to thirty minutes once they've checked in. It's not universal: some hit a long line at peak, so the difference is almost entirely whether you've booked ahead and checked in online versus walking in cold on a busy afternoon.
What makes or breaks the visit is check-in. Check in online the morning of your appointment, from your phone or the kiosk, and most people move quickly. It does not handle vehicle registration, plates, or titles; that's the Harris County Tax Office. And if the next date here is further out than you'd like, the Houston North, Houston Southeast, and Rosenberg Mega Centers are worth a look, since availability moves independently across them.

You generally must come in for a first-time Texas license, a REAL ID upgrade, or when your identity documents need to be verified in person.
