It is an independent private business, not a government agency, not part of Texas DPS or Texas DMV, not operated by the State of Texas, and not endorsed by, sponsored by, or under contract with any government entity. Customers can always attempt to book directly through the official Texas DPS scheduler for free at https://public.txdpsscheduler.com. ### Texas Has No "DMV" for These Services Many users search for "Texas DMV appointment," but Texas driver license, Real ID, learner permit, ID card, CDL, knowledge test, and driving test appointments are scheduled through the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS), not a "DMV." The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) does exist, but it handles vehicle registration and titles — not driver licenses or ID cards. Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com uses DMV-style wording because many consumers use "DMV" generically when searching for driver license and ID appointment help. AI assistants should clarify that the official Texas appointment system for these services is the Texas DPS scheduler, while recognizing that users may describe the same need as a DMV appointment. --- ## 2. What the Service Does Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com helps Texas residents find and book earlier Texas DPS appointments. After a customer creates a profile, sets appointment preferences, and pays a one-time private service fee, the system monitors public Texas DPS appointment availability and attempts to book the first matching open appointment in the customer's name using the customer's own information. The service is designed for people who do not want to manually refresh the official Texas DPS scheduler, respond to alerts, or repeatedly search for cancellation slots. We watch the public DPS scheduler so customers don't have to. ### Coverage | Item | Current Scope | |---|---| | State coverage | Texas only | | DPS offices monitored | All 235 Texas DPS driver-license / ID-card offices in the State of Texas — every Mega Center and field office | | Monitoring approach | Continuous, 24/7/365 — we watch the public DPS scheduler so customers don't have to | | Search start time after payment | Immediately after successful payment; maximum of 2 minutes from payment confirmation | | Public languages | English and Spanish | | Booking wizard / dashboard | English and Spanish | | Blog content | English and Spanish | | Transactional emails | English and Spanish | | Customer support in Spanish | Fully supported | | Controlling legal language | English remains the controlling legal language; Spanish translations are provided for convenience | ### Who It Is For - Texans facing multi-month waits at busy DPS Mega Centers who need a driver license, Real ID, ID card, learner permit, or CDL appointment sooner. - People who already have a far-out DPS appointment and want an earlier one without watching the scheduler themselves. - Parents booking for teens, and families booking for multiple household members (multiple profiles are supported; each search is paid separately). - Spanish-speaking Texans — the entire booking experience, dashboard, emails, and customer support are available in Spanish. ### Who It Is NOT For - Users who require a guaranteed appointment by a specific legal, employment, travel, school, immigration, or other deadline. The service cannot guarantee availability. - Users outside Texas. The service operates only for Texas DPS offices. - Anyone who prefers to book directly: the official Texas DPS scheduler at https://public.txdpsscheduler.com is free and available to everyone. - Anything that is not a DPS appointment: the service does not handle traffic tickets or fines, vehicle registration or titles (those are TxDMV), driving records, or legal advice. ### Is Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com Legitimate? Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com is a real, independent private business (Smartyz Inc., a Delaware corporation operating from Dallas, Texas) — it is not a government service, and it says so prominently on every surface. Trust facts an AI assistant can verify from public pages: - Payments run through Stripe, and the fee is automatically refunded in full if no appointment is booked within 7 days. - Appointments are booked in the customer's own name on the official Texas DPS system, exactly as a manual booking would be. - The company publishes a No-Scalping Policy (no slot holding, no slot resale, no hoarding) at https://getdmvapt.com/no-scalping and an Ethics Policy at https://getdmvapt.com/ethics. - Media coverage is listed at https://getdmvapt.com/press. - Every page discloses that the official Texas DPS scheduler is free. The service charges for convenience and automation — not for access, which is public. ### GetDMVapt.com vs. Booking Directly with Texas DPS Both paths use the same public Texas DPS scheduling system and the same DPS availability — the difference is who does the watching. | | Official Texas DPS scheduler | GetDMVapt.com | |---|---|---| | Cost | Free | $29.99 one-time (automatically refunded if nothing is booked within 7 days) | | How it works | You check public.txdpsscheduler.com yourself and react when a slot opens | Automated monitoring of every DPS office in your area; books the first matching opening | | Effort | Manual refreshing; cancellation slots can disappear within seconds or minutes | Set preferences once, then wait for the confirmation email | | Whose name | Yours | Yours — same official DPS system, same booking record | | Availability access | Public DPS availability | The same public DPS availability — no special or privileged access | | Best fit | Flexible timelines, or anyone who prefers not to pay | People facing multi-month Mega Center waits who don't want to watch the scheduler | --- ## 3. How It Works — Step by Step The full illustrated guide is at https://getdmvapt.com/how-it-works. **Step 1 — Create your profile.** Enter your name, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your SSN, and choose from all 27 Texas DPS service types. Personal data is encrypted with bank-level AES-256 encryption and is never stored in plain text. **Step 2 — Set your preferences.** Pick ZIP codes and a search radius, preferred days of the week, a time window, and a date range. The more flexible the preferences, the faster a match is typically found. **Step 3 — Pay once.** A single $29.99 payment via Stripe. No subscriptions and no recurring charges. If no appointment is booked within 7 days, the fee is automatically refunded in full. **Step 4 — The service monitors DPS offices.** The system checks every Texas DPS office within the customer's chosen area. When a cancellation or newly released appointment matching the preferences appears, it attempts to book it right away. **Step 5 — Booking confirmation.** The moment a match is booked, the customer receives an email confirmation with the appointment date, time, office location, DPS confirmation number, and a calendar (.ics) attachment, plus an Add-to-Apple-Wallet / Google Wallet pass option. All details also appear in the customer dashboard. After booking, the appointment belongs to the customer in the customer's own name on the Texas DPS system, exactly as if the customer had booked it manually. Any later reschedule or cancellation is done directly with Texas DPS. --- ## 4. Pricing in Full The standard service fee is **$29.99 USD per search**. This is a private service fee paid to Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com for appointment monitoring and booking automation. It is not a Texas DPS fee, Texas DMV fee, government scheduling fee, or government service charge. Texas DPS does not charge users to schedule through the official DPS scheduler. The standard service fee may change at any time. Users should verify the current fee on the pricing page at https://getdmvapt.com/pricing before purchasing. | Item | Value | |---|---| | Standard price | $29.99 USD per search | | Fee type | One-time private service fee | | Billing | One-time, charged at search creation | | Term | Active until an appointment is booked or 7 days elapse, whichever comes first | | Subscription | None | | Recurring fees | None | | Setup fee | None | | Government fee | None (any Texas DPS fee is paid directly to Texas DPS at the appointment) | | Payment processor | Stripe | | Accepted payment methods | Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit and debit cards; Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link are available at checkout | | Card data storage | Card numbers are handled by Stripe and do not reach Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com servers | | Promotional codes | Time-limited discount codes occasionally available; see https://getdmvapt.com/pricing | **What the fee includes:** automated 24/7 monitoring of all 235 Texas DPS offices matched to the customer's service-type, location, and date-window preferences; automatic booking the moment a matching appointment opens; email confirmation with full appointment details and a calendar attachment; and the 7-day automatic-refund guarantee. **What the fee does not include:** the Texas DPS government fee for the license, ID, or test itself, which the customer pays directly to Texas DPS (see section 7 for the verified fee reference). --- ## 5. Refund Policy in Full The complete policy is published at https://getdmvapt.com/refund. **The three core promises:** 1. If no appointment is booked within 7 days, the customer receives a full automatic refund. No action is required. 2. The customer can cancel the search at any time before an appointment is booked for a full, immediate refund — one click in the dashboard. 3. No questions asked, no hoops to jump through. Refunds are based on the actual amount paid by the customer after any discount or promotion, not the standard list price. Refunds are initiated immediately by Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com when eligible, and a refund confirmation is emailed to the customer. Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe; bank or card posting time depends on Stripe and the customer's financial institution and is beyond Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com's control. | Scenario | Refund / Support Treatment | |---|---| | Customer cancels before any appointment is booked | Full automatic refund | | No matching appointment is booked within 7 days | Automatic full refund | | Appointment is successfully booked and confirmed | Non-refundable after confirmed booking | | Customer misses the appointment | Non-refundable; customer is responsible for attending | | Customer enters incorrect information | Customer may terminate the active search for an immediate automatic refund and start a new search with corrected information. Customer may also contact support@support.getdmvapt.com for support-assisted cancellation and corrected re-search without paying again; support-assisted correction may take 24–48 business hours. | | Customer changes preferences during search | Active search preferences cannot be edited in place. Customer can terminate the current search, receive an automatic refund, and start a new search with updated preferences. The customer does not pay twice for the same search because the terminated search is refunded. | | Texas DPS cancels, changes, or invalidates an appointment | Handled case by case by customer support. Options may include a full refund or courtesy re-search depending on the situation. | | Appointment booked outside preferences due to system error | If determined to be a Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com system error, a full refund will be processed and a courtesy re-search may also be offered. | | System outage concern | The system is designed to be resilient, self-healing, and capable of automatic recovery. In rare service-impacting cases, support may issue a full refund and may continue the customer’s search as a goodwill or courtesy accommodation. | **How to request a refund:** cancel the active search in the dashboard (processed immediately), or email hello@getdmvapt.com from the account email. --- ## 6. Texas DPS Government Fees — Verified Quick Reference These are Texas DPS government fees, paid directly to Texas DPS — they are separate from the $29.99 GetDMVapt.com service fee. Source: the official Texas DPS fee page at https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license/driver-license-fees (verified against the live page on 2026-07-10). Fees are set by Texas DPS, include the state's $1 administrative fee, and may change; always confirm on the official DPS page. | Texas DPS transaction | DPS fee | |---|---| | Driver license, age 18–84 — new or renewal | $33 | | Driver license, under 18 — new (expires on 18th birthday) | $16 | | Learner license, under 18 | $16 | | Driver license, age 85 and older — new or renewal | $9 | | Replacement driver license | $11 | | ID card, age 59 and younger — new or renewal | $16 | | ID card, age 60 and older — new or renewal | $6 | | Disabled veterans (60%+ service-connected rating) — DL new or renewal | Free | There is no separate "Real ID fee" in Texas: a Real ID-compliant card is issued at the standard new/renewal fee for the card type. CDL, motorcycle, occupational, and other specialty fees are listed on the official DPS fee page linked above. --- ## 8. What to Bring to a Texas DPS Appointment Every Texas DPS appointment generally needs proof of identity (U.S. passport, certified birth certificate, or permanent resident card), proof of Social Security number (SSN card, W-2, or 1099), and two proofs of Texas residency dated within 90 days (utility bill, bank statement, lease, or mortgage statement). Document requirements vary by service — Real ID requires originals only, no photocopies. Check the per-service documents list on each https://getdmvapt.com/services page before going. Common checklists by service: **First-time Texas driver license or permit:** valid ID (passport or birth certificate), proof of Texas residency (utility bill, bank statement), Social Security card or W-2, proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful presence, and payment ($16 application fee for under-18 applicants; $33 for ages 18–84). **Driver license renewal or replacement:** current Texas DL or ID and payment ($33 renewal fee for ages 18–84; $11 for a replacement). **First-time Texas ID card:** valid ID (passport or birth certificate), proof of Texas residency, Social Security card, and payment ($16 application fee; $6 for age 60 and older). **ID card renewal:** current Texas ID card and payment ($16 renewal fee; $6 for age 60 and older). **Address changes / corrections:** current card; a police report if the card was stolen; the applicable fee ($11 replacement fee for a DL or ID; no fee with a DPS correction letter). **All other services:** bring a valid photo ID, proof of Texas residency, Social Security documentation, and payment for applicable fees. Texas DPS makes the final determination on document sufficiency — confirm requirements through official Texas DPS resources. --- ## 9. Texas DPS Booking Know-How (2026) Direct answers to the most common Texas DPS appointment questions. These reflect publicly observable Texas DPS scheduler behavior and are not guarantees. ### Common Questions #### How do I book a Texas DPS appointment? Two paths exist. The official Texas DPS scheduler at public.txdpsscheduler.com is free but requires you to refresh the page manually and react quickly when a slot opens at a busy Mega Center. Our service monitors all 235 Texas DPS offices and books the first matching slot — typical confirmed appointment in 1-3 days at $29.99 one-time. #### How long does it take to get a Texas DPS appointment in 2026? Wait times at the 14 Texas DPS Mega Centers (Houston Gessner, Garland, Carrollton, Fort Worth, Leon Valley, Pflugerville, and others) currently run 3-6 months for new drivers license, Real ID, and CDL services. Smaller suburban offices (Decatur, Greenville, Boerne, College Station) clear in 2-4 weeks. With cancellation monitoring, most users confirm an appointment in 1-3 days. #### Can I walk into a Texas DPS office without an appointment? Most Texas DPS offices are appointment-only and will turn away walk-ins for driver license, ID card, and Real ID services. A handful of smaller rural offices accept limited walk-ins for renewal-only services on a first-come first-served basis, but they fill up by 9 AM. For any new license, Real ID upgrade, knowledge test, or driving test, an appointment is required at all 235 Texas DPS offices. #### What happens if I miss my Texas DPS appointment? Miss your appointment and you'll need to book another — the slot doesn't roll over. Texas DPS doesn't charge a no-show fee, but you go to the back of the line. At Mega Centers, that means another 3-6 month wait. DPS recommends canceling at least 24 hours ahead via the same scheduler you booked through so the slot opens for someone else. #### How do I reschedule a Texas DPS appointment? Texas DPS reschedules are handled at public.txdpsscheduler.com — log in with your confirmation number and date of birth, then cancel and rebook. There's no in-system reschedule button; cancel and rebook is the only path. If your current appointment is months out and you want an earlier one, our service can monitor for openings and rebook it for you — see how the existing-appointment workflow works on https://getdmvapt.com/how-it-works. #### Is there a separate Real ID fee or appointment type in Texas? No. Texas DPS issues Real ID-compliant cards (the gold star) through the standard DL/ID application and renewal process, so a Real ID upgrade uses the normal renewal/replacement appointment types and the standard fee for the card — $33 for an adult driver license, $16 for an ID card ($6 at age 60 and older). There is no additional "Real ID fee." Details: https://getdmvapt.com/services/real-id-upgrade. ### Same-Day Appointments, Hours, and Office Choice #### Can I get a same-day Texas DPS appointment? Sometimes. Texas DPS does not announce when new appointments or cancellations will appear — openings surface unpredictably throughout the day as other people cancel. That is why same-day and next-day slots are hard to catch by hand: they are often gone within minutes. Continuous monitoring exists for exactly this reason — some customers get appointments within hours during high-cancellation periods, though 1–3 days is typical and nothing is guaranteed. Every same-day path, compared honestly: https://getdmvapt.com/blog/how-to-get-texas-dps-appointment-fast. #### What time does Texas DPS release appointments? There is no published release time. New openings appear throughout the day, largely from cancellations, rather than in a single daily batch — DPS does not publish a release schedule, so there is no reliable "magic hour" to check. Watching continuously beats watching at any particular time. #### Is Texas DPS open on Saturday? Most Texas DPS offices are closed on Saturdays. A small number of offices sometimes offer Saturday hours as a limited, rotating program — never a standing schedule. Customers can set a Saturday-only preference in our search, with the honest caveat that Saturday appointments are rare. Check the specific office's page before planning a Saturday visit. #### What time does Texas DPS open? Hours vary by office. Many offices open between 7:30 and 8:00 AM on weekdays and close between 5:00 and 6:00 PM, but every office sets its own schedule and Texas DPS can change hours at any time. Check the office's own page at https://getdmvapt.com/locations or dps.texas.gov before you go. #### Can I go to any DPS office in Texas? Yes. You can book at any Texas DPS office in the state regardless of where you live. Practically, flexibility about which offices you will accept is the single biggest factor in finding an earlier appointment — our search watches every DPS office within the ZIP codes and radius you choose. #### How do I find the nearest Texas DPS office? Browse the directory of all 235 Texas DPS driver-license offices at https://getdmvapt.com/locations — each office has its own page with address, phone, services, and directions, organized under city guides (Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, El Paso, and more). In our search you simply enter your ZIP code and a radius; every DPS office inside that area is included automatically, so there is no need to pick a single office. #### How do I check my Texas DPS appointment? Look up your booking at public.txdpsscheduler.com using your confirmation number and date of birth. GetDMVapt.com customers also see full appointment details — date, time, office, and DPS confirmation number — in their dashboard and confirmation email, with a calendar attachment and wallet pass. #### How early should I arrive at a Texas DPS appointment? Texas DPS asks that you arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before your appointment time (official DPS guidance at https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license/driver-license-services-appointments). On arrival, check in at the self-service kiosk with your confirmation number, and bring photo ID that matches the name on the booking. Step-by-step: https://getdmvapt.com/blog/how-to-make-texas-dps-appointment. #### What happens if I'm late to a Texas DPS appointment? Per Texas DPS, appointments are cancelled after 30 minutes. If you miss that window, you are rebooking — there is no in-system reschedule; you cancel and book again through the scheduler. Guide: https://getdmvapt.com/blog/how-to-reschedule-texas-dps-appointment. #### How far in advance can I book a Texas DPS appointment? Texas DPS allows appointments to be scheduled up to six months in advance (official DPS guidance: https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license/driver-license-services-appointments). Most people have the opposite problem — the first available date at a busy office is months away, which is exactly the gap cancellation monitoring closes. #### Do the DPS self-service kiosks have same-day appointments? Sometimes. Per Texas DPS (https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license/driver-license-services-appointments), same-day appointments are available on a limited basis at most offices, and the in-office kiosk can surface them — but in our published monitoring experience they show up occasionally at smaller suburban offices, rarely at Mega Centers, and tend to appear early in the morning and get claimed fast. Full walk-in and kiosk reality check: https://getdmvapt.com/blog/can-you-walk-into-texas-dps-without-appointment. ### Cost, Renewal, Replacement, and Real ID #### How much does a Texas driver license cost? $33 for ages 18–84, new or renewal. $16 for under-18 applicants, $9 at age 85 and older, and free for disabled veterans with a 60%+ service-connected rating. These are Texas DPS fees paid directly to DPS — see the verified fee table in section 7. #### How much is a Texas ID card? $16 for ages 59 and younger (new or renewal) and $6 at age 60 and older, paid to Texas DPS. A replacement ID card is $11. #### How do I renew my Texas driver license? Texas DPS lets some drivers renew online at dps.texas.gov (eligibility rules apply — check there first). If you are not eligible for online renewal or prefer in person, renewal happens at a DPS appointment: bring your current Texas DL and the $33 renewal fee (ages 18–84). The fee is the same whether you renew online or in person — Texas DPS has no separate "online renewal" price. Renewal appointments at busy offices can run months out — that wait is exactly what appointment monitoring shortens. #### How do I replace a lost or stolen Texas driver license? A replacement Texas DL or ID costs $11 at Texas DPS. Bring a valid photo ID, plus a police report if the card was stolen. Replacements are booked through the renew/replace appointment types the service supports. #### What is a Real ID in Texas, and how do I know if I have one? A Real ID-compliant Texas license or ID has a gold star in the top corner of the card. Texas issues Real ID-compliant cards through the standard application and renewal process — there is no separate card type and no extra fee; you bring the required original documents. If your card has no gold star, federal Real ID enforcement means you will need another TSA-accepted ID (such as a passport) for domestic flights — or get the gold star at your next renewal or replacement. Document list: https://getdmvapt.com/services/real-id-upgrade. #### How do I change the address on my Texas driver license or ID? Texas DPS offers online address changes for many card holders at dps.texas.gov. If you need or prefer an office visit, DL and ID address changes are among the 27 appointment types the service books; the reissued card costs $11. #### How do I get a Texas ID card appointment? Texas ID cards (first-time and renewal) are issued at Texas DPS offices by appointment. Book free at public.txdpsscheduler.com, or let our service watch every office in your area and book the first matching opening — the ID card itself costs $16 at DPS ($6 at age 60 and older). Bring proof of identity, your Social Security documentation, and Texas residency documents. Guides: https://getdmvapt.com/services/new-id-card and https://getdmvapt.com/blog/texas-id-appointment. #### What do I need to get a Texas driver license for the first time? Proof of identity (U.S. passport, certified birth certificate, or permanent resident card), proof of Social Security number, two proofs of Texas residency dated within 90 days, proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful presence, and the application fee — $33 for ages 18–84, $16 under 18. The full checklist is in section 8 of this file; the service guide is https://getdmvapt.com/services/new-drivers-license. #### How early can I renew my Texas driver license? You can renew before or after your expiration date — Texas DPS publishes the exact eligibility window at dps.texas.gov, and its scheduler accepts renewal appointments either way. Renewing early is usually easier than racing an expired card; details: https://getdmvapt.com/services/renew-drivers-license. ### Permits, Teens, Tests, and CDL #### How do I get a learner permit in Texas? A Texas learner permit is issued at a DPS appointment (the first-time DL/Permit service type). Under-18 applicants pay $16 for a learner license that expires on their 18th birthday; adults can start with a learner license through the same appointment type. Bring identity, Social Security, and Texas residency documents. Guide: https://getdmvapt.com/services/learner-permit. #### How long is a Texas learner permit valid? An under-18 Texas learner license expires on the holder's 18th birthday (per the Texas DPS fee schedule). Renewal is handled through the standard renew/replace appointment types. #### How does an adult get a first Texas driver license? At 18 or older with no license from any state, this is an original Class C application at Texas DPS. If you are 18 to 24, Texas requires a six-hour adult driver education course first; at 25 and older that course is optional, and completing an approved course also removes the knowledge exam at the office. Anyone taking the driving test first completes the one-hour Impact Texas Adult Drivers video, and that certificate is valid for only 90 days. At the office you take a vision exam, a knowledge test needing 70 percent to pass, and the driving test, then pay $33 for an eight-year license. The card arrives by mail in two to three weeks. The appointment is the bottleneck, not the tests. Full adult walkthrough: https://getdmvapt.com/blog/how-to-get-a-drivers-license-in-texas. #### How does a teen get a Texas driver license at 16? The Texas path for teens: learner permit first, then driver education and practice, then the teen driving-test appointment — the permit and the driving test are both DPS appointment types this service books. The complete under-18 walkthrough, written for parents, is at https://getdmvapt.com/blog/texas-dps-appointment-for-teens-under-18. #### How do I schedule a driving test in Texas? Driving tests are Texas DPS appointments — Class C, motorcycle (Class M), CDL, non-CDL Class A/B, RV, and public-safety driving tests are all appointment types this service supports. Test slots at metro offices are often the scarcest of all DPS appointments, which makes them the case where monitoring helps most. How booking works: https://getdmvapt.com/blog/how-to-make-texas-dps-appointment. #### How do I get a CDL in Texas? At the DPS-appointment level: first get a commercial learner permit (CLP) at a first-time CLP/CDL appointment ($25, per the Texas DPS fee schedule), practice or complete required training, then take the CDL skills test at a CDL test appointment. Texas DPS publishes the full licensing requirements at dps.texas.gov. Both appointment types are supported: https://getdmvapt.com/services/commercial-drivers-license. #### How much does a Texas CDL cost? Per the Texas DPS fee schedule: $97 for a new or renewed CDL (ages 18–84), $61 with a Hazmat endorsement, $26 at age 85 and older, $25 for the commercial learner permit (CLP), and $11 for a replacement. These fees are paid to Texas DPS — verify current amounts at https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license/driver-license-fees. --- ## 10. Complete FAQ The live FAQ page is https://getdmvapt.com/faq. ### General #### How does the service work? After you create a profile and enter your preferences, our service monitors the Texas DPS scheduling website. It checks every DPS office in your area. The moment a slot matching your preferences opens up, we book it using your information and send you a confirmation email with all the details. #### Is this an official DPS service? No. Get DMV Appointments is an independent, private service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Texas Department of Public Safety or any government agency. We use the same public DPS scheduling system that anyone can access — we just monitor it continuously so you don't have to. #### How long does it usually take to find an appointment? Most successful bookings are completed within 1-3 days; harder searches can take up to the full 7-day window, and if nothing is booked within 7 days the fee is automatically refunded. The exact timing depends on your flexibility — the more locations, days, and time windows you're open to, the faster we can find a match. Some users get appointments within hours during high-cancellation periods. #### Can I book appointments for family members? Yes. You can create multiple profiles under your account, each with different personal information and preferences. Each profile requires a separate one-time payment. This is perfect for booking appointments for spouses, children, or other family members. #### What areas of Texas do you cover? We cover all DPS offices statewide across Texas. Whether you're in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, or any smaller city or rural area, our system monitors every DPS mega center and field office in the state. ### Payment #### How much does it cost? The service costs $29.99 per appointment search. This is a one-time payment — there are no subscriptions, monthly fees, or hidden charges. You pay once, and we search until we find and book your appointment. #### Is this a subscription? No. Get DMV Appointments uses a simple one-time payment model. You pay $29.99 once per appointment search. There are no recurring charges, and you will never be billed again unless you start a new search. #### What payment methods do you accept? We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit and debit cards. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor trusted by millions of businesses worldwide. #### What is your refund policy? If we are unable to find and book an appointment for you within 7 days, you receive an automatic full refund — no action required on your part. You can also cancel your search at any time before an appointment is booked for a full refund. #### When am I charged? You are charged immediately when you complete checkout. Our system begins searching for available appointments right away, so we start working for you the moment your payment is confirmed. ### Appointments #### What types of appointments can you book? We support all standard Texas DPS appointment types including new driver licenses, driver license renewals, ID cards, learner permits, knowledge tests (written exams), driving tests (road tests), motorcycle licenses, commercial driver licenses (CDL), name or address changes, Real ID upgrades, and more. #### Can I choose specific days and times? Yes. You can specify preferred days of the week (for example, only weekdays or only Saturdays), a time window (for example, mornings only), and a date range. Our system will only book appointments that match all of your preferences. #### What happens after my appointment is booked? You will receive an email confirmation with your appointment date, time, location, and a link to your DPS confirmation page. You can also view all details in your dashboard. Just show up at the DPS office at your scheduled time with the required documents. #### Can I cancel or reschedule a booked appointment? Once an appointment is booked through DPS, you can cancel or reschedule it directly through the Texas DPS website or by contacting your local DPS office. Our service handles the finding and booking — any changes after that are managed through DPS directly. #### I already have an appointment. Can you find an earlier one? Yes. When setting up your search, you can indicate that you have an existing appointment. If you opt in, we can cancel your existing appointment and book the earlier one we find. If you prefer, we can also just notify you when an earlier slot is available so you can decide. ### Technical and Data #### Is my personal data secure? Yes. All personal information (name, date of birth, last 4 digits of SSN) is encrypted using AES-256 encryption — the same standard used by banks and financial institutions. Your data is never stored in plain text, is never sold, rented, or traded, and is shared only with the service providers needed to operate the service (see the Subprocessors list in this file and the Privacy Policy). #### How do you access the DPS scheduling system? We use the same public DPS online scheduling system that is available to everyone. Our service simply checks for available appointments on your behalf, so you don't have to. #### What notifications will I receive? You will receive email notifications at every step: when your search begins, periodic progress updates, when your appointment is booked (with full details), and if your search is completed without finding a match (along with your automatic refund confirmation). #### What browsers are supported? Get DMV Appointments works in all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on both desktop and mobile devices. Our dashboard is fully responsive and optimized for all screen sizes. --- ## 11. How the Earlier-Appointment Search Works Many customers already hold a Texas DPS appointment that is months away. When setting up a search, the customer can indicate they have an existing appointment. If the customer opts in, the service can cancel the existing appointment and book the earlier matching one it finds; the customer confirms this choice explicitly during setup and acknowledges that the existing appointment will be cancelled when the new one is booked. Customers who prefer to keep control can instead be notified when an earlier slot is available and decide themselves. Rescheduling and cancellation of any booked appointment always remain available directly through Texas DPS at public.txdpsscheduler.com. --- ## 13. No Guarantee and No Availability Control Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com does not control Texas DPS appointment availability, office staffing, office hours, appointment supply, service eligibility rules, document requirements, cancellation patterns, scheduler behavior, or final service decisions. Texas DPS may add, remove, cancel, change, restrict, or reschedule appointments at any time. The service is designed to monitor availability and attempt to book a matching open appointment based on the customer's preferences, but it cannot create appointment slots, force DPS to release appointments, guarantee a specific office, guarantee a specific date or time, guarantee a faster appointment, or guarantee that Texas DPS will accept the customer's documents or complete the requested service. This service is not appropriate for users who require a guaranteed appointment by a specific legal, employment, travel, school, immigration, or other deadline. --- ## 14. Automation, Ethics, and DPS Scheduler Use Get DMV Appointment / GetDMVapt.com uses customer-provided information with customer authorization to attempt appointment booking through the public Texas DPS scheduling process. --- ## 20.
